Press Release for 17 May 2022

Stairways Software releases Keyboard Maestro 10.1

Perth, Western Australia - 17 May 2022 - Stairways Software Pty Ltd is pleased to announce Keyboard Maestro 10.1, the new version of its powerful productivity enhancer for OS X.

Version 10.1 adds native support for Keyboard Maestro executing macOS Shortcuts in Monterey or later with an Execute a Shortcut action. The action also has a variant to edit the shortcut (opening the Shortcut in macOS Shortcuts), or optionally edit it if the Option key is held down.

Version 10.1 also adds lots of native Shortcuts Actions to Shortcuts (action within Shortcuts, as opposed to an action within Keyboard Maestro), so you can trigger macros from Shortcuts with the new Execute Macro Shortcuts Action, get and set variables, edit macros, and get the list of currently active macros.

Keyboard Maestro also exposes a bunch of useful functionality to Shortcuts with news Shortcuts Actions to calculate the result of an expression using any of Keyboard Maestro's many functions, process text tokens using any of the many available text tokens. Also, for fans of regular expressions, there are new Shortcuts Actions to search or search & replace text.

Version 10.1 includes a number of other minor fixes and improvements.
