Stairways Software releases Keyboard Maestro 9.0

Perth, Western Australia - 13 August 2019 - Stairways Software Pty Ltd is pleased to announce Keyboard Maestro 9.0, the new version of its powerful productivity enhancer for OS X.

Version 9 adds support for Dark Mode in macOS 10.14 or later, including actions to toggle Keyboard Maestro or the System Dark Mode settings, and functions for detecting the current state of the system. Version 9 also enhances the Keyboard Maestro editor with support for multiple windows, allowing you to edit one macro while looking at another.

New powerful abilities are unlocked with support for OCR, either of images or directly from the screen, allowing you to easily interact with difficult applications or web pages, as well as extensive support for JSON across a range of actions, functions and tokens.

This version adds wide-ranging direct support for Elgato's Stream Deck keypads, allowing you to both trigger macros and alter button text and displayed images.

Also added for version 9 are enhancements to the regex support including named capture groups and case conversion tokens supported across all token fields.

As well as a new Display Layout Changed trigger, there are many new actions allowing you to set the desktop image, set the clipboard to images or file references, interoperate with 1Password 7.3+, and many more.

See the wiki What's New section for a complete list of changes. With over a hundred other improvements, there is bound to be something for everyone.
